Emily Scott
Business Analyst

Ms. Emily Scott joined Tortoise in 2016. She plays a key role of tying together client acquisition, client retention and marketing initiatives. Ms. Scott helps tactically implement the strategic direction of the Executive Committee through these business units and ensures that all efforts are cohesive and collaborative. She supports all new product and business incubation efforts. Ms. Scott is focused on building processes around client and internal communications as well as marketing initiatives, working closely with the previously mentioned business units. She collaborates closely with key stakeholders in the incubation areas including the firm’s passive business, direct lending platform and clean energy strategy. Previously, she served as an analyst for Montage Investments. Ms. Scott graduated magna cum laude from William Jewell College where she earned a triple major in economics, mathematics and applied critical thought and inquiry (ACT-In) with a minor in business administration. She is a 2018 Level II candidate in the CFA® Program. She currently serves Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City as a Big Sister.
