Greg has a passion for learning, teaching, and telling stories. He has worked at the firm and its affiliates for over 20 years and currently holds the position of Head of Sustainability & Responsible Investing. In this role, he works closely with all areas of the company to identify, quantify, and report the impact that our investments make on the world around us. Greg believes that any manager can report performance. In this role he brings to life the impacts beyond financial returns. 

He co-hosts Ecofin’s Sustainability Matters podcast, a weekly update on newsworthy items, interviews, and discussions around topics related to the energy transition, circular economy and impact investing.

Prior to joining the firm, Greg was an investment committee member and principal at Fountain Capital Management, a high-yield bond management firm and founding sponsor of the firm. Prior to Fountain, he worked in Texas as a public accountant and as a consultant to the energy industry. Greg graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics from Trinity University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Greg serves on the Board of the Climate + Energy Project (CEP). CEP is a Kansas-based non-partisan not-for-profit driving equitable solutions for a clean energy future. CEP’s mission is to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions in America’s Heartland through the ambitious deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy, in policy and practice. Greg takes pride in the fact that Kansas is a leading producer of wind energy in the US and hopes to encourage his home state to embrace a leadership role in all facets of the energy transition.

Greg is married with five sons. An Eagle Scout himself, over the last 15 years Greg has served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader with three of his five boys having earned their Eagle Scout awards and two still working towards Eagle. In addition to Scouting adventures, he enjoys woodworking, live music and running.
