Mr. Darrell Brock joined Tortoise in 2019 as a director of Tortoise’s private energy team, focused on growing its direct energy investment platform. He has an extensive background sourcing acquisitions and executable deal and development opportunities. Previously, Mr. Brock was vice president of corporate and business development at Lightfoot Capital Partners, LP and Arc Logistics Partners LP. Prior to joining Arc Logistics, Mr. Brock was a managing partner from 2009 to 2014 at The Cumberland Group, a Washington, D.C.-founded government relations firm specializing in shaping national energy policy. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer at DTX Oil Midstream. He also served as commissioner of the Kentucky Governor’s Office of Development, where he oversaw state infrastructure and development. During this time, he also served as a senior policy advisor to the governor on a range of issues including energy policy. Previously, Mr. Brock was employed with TISA, a Toyota Group Company and Johnson Controls, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and business development as well as government relations, globally. Mr. Brock earned a BBA in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
