Brandon DeBenedet *

About

Brandon joined the firm in 2018 and is responsible for identifying and structuring direct placement bonds and loans for inclusion within private and institutional funds managed by the firm.

He previously worked for D.A. Davidson & Co. as senior vice president, where he started a local government and nonprofit practice for the firm. Before that, and while also leveraging his entrepreneurial passion, Mr. DeBenedet worked at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., where he founded and developed a community banking public finance group, providing direct tax-exempt lending to small- and medium-sized issuers in a 15-state region. He started his career in public finance investment banking with George K. Baum & Co., where he was involved in the transaction execution and quantitative structuring of over $1 billion of financings.

Brandon received a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in finance and a minor in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business. He has passed the Series 7, 50, 52, and 63 exams. He currently serves on the Wyatt Academy charter school board, formerly served on the Denver Fire Department Foundation board, and was a mentor in the University of Colorado's Professional Mentorship Program. He has been invited to speak as a subject matter expert at numerous conferences and coauthored commercial bank policy and white papers on the public finance sector.

Brandon enjoys endurance competitions and recently completed the Leadville 100 (mountain bike), Butte 100 (mountain bike), Grand Traverse (ski & bike), Buff Epic 100 (road bike), and Imogene Pass Run from Ouray to Telluride. Brandon's obligatory fan club includes his wife and two children.
