Kate Moore*

About

Kate joined the firm in 2018 and is the Chief Operating Officer at Ecofin. She is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading cross functional engagement, and executing the firm’s strategic growth initiatives. Prior to being appointed Chief Operating Officer, she was the Chief Development Officer, strategically driving the firm’s growth through new product initiatives, strategic partnerships, expansion of investment verticals and new business ventures. Prior to being appointed the Chief Development Officer, Kate was the Head of Product Development. Kate is also a member of the Business Management Committee and the Ecofin Sustainable and Social Impact Term Fund Investment Committee.   

Prior to joining the firm, Kate served as director of the real estate and investment office with Tradebot Ventures and as senior equity trader at Tradebot Systems, focused on designing and implementing innovative trading strategies across North American equities. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas and holds her Series 24 and 7 certifications.

Kate is passionate about travel, exploring new cultures and believes a more diverse workplace will continue to serve as the engine to ingenuity. She enjoys spending time outdoors, dabbling in hiking (if only there were mountains in Kansas City) and enjoys water sports. When Kate’s not busy chasing around her two young daughters – you can find her in the kitchen perfecting her love for cooking and spending time with friends and family.
